This afternoon, I start as my parents personal tour guide. Have sat & Sunday tours booked, but all else is on me. Wish me lots of patience. I get to answer the same questions over& over& over cause mom's memory & dad insists he's just going with the flow (spoiler: he doesn't!)
But it's been otherwise good. I doubt there'll be another trip like this; really think it is getting to be too much for my mom to cope with. So there is that.
Now I need to see if the lunch restaurant has my mom's jacket or if she left it elsewhere. PJ left this morning & left hers for mom, so not a problem, but....

sarameg, I hope the trip goes well. I was sort of a tour guide/support for Dad a couple of times after Mom died. While it was challenging, I have some great memories from it.

Just got an email from the new assistant to our recently promoted VP of Operations saying "I don't know what happened but we don't have your 'fun stuff' on file" - favorite color, candy, blah blah blah. What happened was I got transferred to another department and y'all tossed the answers I spent months compiling last time you asked because I find these questions very difficult. Why pretend you don't know why when you are sending the same email to me and the one other person who was laid off and hired back?
