Take jobs as they come -- and we'll never be under the heel of nobody ever again. No matter how long the arm of the Alliance might get, we'll just get ourselves a little further.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, body anxiety, that's a good term! At least my brain isn't as good at making something up to justify anxiety as it is with other emotions.

I'm gonna say yes, Amy. Just chop them into rounds or sticks or something. Or maybe just slice them in half. I'm thinking a whole zucchini would take longer to cook through.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I LOVED Iceland, sarameg! Have a great time.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Amy, you may end ip with more liquid at the end, but it should still taste good.

Because books.

Oh, good point, sj. And yeah, I sliced them into rounds, -t. We'll see! It's in the oven now anyway.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ugh, how is it only Monday? Or already Monday? I think the mid-week holiday is throwing things off.

Husband is at a job interview. No idea if he would actually want this job, so I would like him to finish up with it and tell me how it went.

At least there is tennis, because work is boring. Deeply boring.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So far today one of my publishers has told me "We can't give you [asset their contract says they have to give us] because we don't have the resources" and another has told me "I completely forgot we were releasing [books which have been on the schedule for at least 6 months and which I've been asking about weekly since April]!"

I hereby proclaim that the rest of my day shall be spent finding pictures of cute baby animals and sharing them on Twitter.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Amy, I'm sure the roasted zucchini will be good.

At least my brain isn't as good at making something up to justify anxiety as it is with other emotions.

Now that's a good point.

I am on vacation, so I went to a museum with olden-times Buffista Ellen! I left here there and came home to do laundry and whatever.

UGH again, I forgot that I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. Today is the worst.

Shit I'm not saying on FB:

Yes, that is a lovely video where a poor lady explains to a rich lady that happiness comes from helping others. However, maybe the rich lady actually needs medication and/or therapy, rather than a lecture about true happiness.
