Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served

Library informed me that they want their book back, as it has been in my possession for six weeks. Only six weeks. C'mon, library. It's practically like dating. You cannot ask me to return an item of interest after merely six weeks (OK, technically you can, but morally, really?). The book has only now begun to discover the way the sun casts its rays through the window and onto the shelf it is stored safely on; When I am going to bed; What I'm drinking next to my reading list. I finally got used to the damn font the print chose. Interrupting this affair so soon is simply unjust.
(And they say I do not have a romantic soul).
Nice imagery there, Shir. I feel you-the library revoked my card. I didn't want to give the books back.
I wake from panic dreams a few times a year. They all involve being trapped underground, or under water. I started thinking about the kids in the cave before I fell asleep last night and had to get up, drink some water, walk around, make up stories in my head and read for a while before I could (don't look at the elephant!) put them out of mind enough to sleep. I'm glad the rescue efforts are succeeding.
~ma to the PixDesigns.
And yeah, my vote was Welcome to the Jungle, as well.
~ma for ND and Pix.
~ma for Kate's dad.
I'm home from vacation. ltc cried for my mother for a good 20 minutes in the car, and TCG is sick in bed with either a cold or bad allergies. We did have a good time while we were there. I managed to finish two books, two magazines, and I got a fair way through another book. However, I left my kindle at Mom's. So that book will have to wait until Mom can bring it to me on Thursday.
I hope TCG is better quickly. Awesome to get some good reading time.
I have 9 of 15 pieces of my dress sewn together at this point. The project is taking a toll on my back. Leaning over the table to pin and cut just hurts. Stupid body.
Taking a break to rest it.
Timelies all!
Quiet Sunday here.
Dana, I saw the finger puppet seller in the dealers' room.
lazy Sunday. I was planning on going to church this morning, but the Foster puppy would not go down to sleep in a timely fashion. She cries and cries if left in the kennel while wanting to play.
So I missed church and went back to sleep once she fell asleep. Now mac is at work and I am puttering around the house getting a few things done while she bites at my pants' legs or when she is sleeping.
I just got her down asleep again, and I am going to run out for a quick store trip. I want to spray the yard for fleas and get a treatment or powder for all the dogs. They seem to get bad each summer, but we have avoided any infestation thus far - want to keep it that way, but we have new dogs at each neighbor, so more chances.
I'm in Iceland! And it's really much cooler. Also spending unspeakable amounts on good simple food (I found a local's bakery open at 6:45 on a Sunday and bought all their savory pastries, ummmm.) & alcohol. Because I AM traveling with family, after all.
It's all good. Even the hard is good, in a way.
I even rectified my family's housing debacle the first day with aplomb. It woulda gone really sideways if I'd left it to the others. Love em, but know 'em. Stories for me to tell.
ICELAND! I'm so jealous.
I ran with the dogs in the morning and then went to the gym, and then had really good poutine, and now I'm anxiously waiting for my pie to cool so I can go out to dinner. Cool, already!
That sounds wonderful, sarameg. Have a great trip!
