Took my parents to Cocina Luchadoras, which was a hit & then to the Canton waterfront park, which was short lived because it started storming. We leave tomorrow night. I guess I'm packing tomorrow & making a shortlist of things to do the first day. Can't check into our places until mid afternoon, but I've secured us a taxi from the airport (there are 7 of us, it's cheaper) & the location of $15/day luggage lockers near where we're staying. So we'll park the luggage & do a bit of jet lagged wandering. Really, I ought to find a cafe with comfy chairs, or better, a library, to park my parents if they're worn out. Overnight flight & only one of us sleeps on planes & it's not the one who is good at making plans, so.

As soon as I get a chance. I'm going to hook up a Raspberry Pi to our component stereo so I can remotely start music. Then the next time I'm entering the house from returning from work it'll be with theme music.
I like this idea, Gud. I do love me a dramatic entrance.
Steph, do you know if a daith piercing works for sinus migraines? Those are the only ones I get now, thanks to the magic of quarterly botox injections.
I mean, probably half of my migraines are sinus migraines, and they've all dramatically improved, so I'm going to say yes.
sara, [link] has great advice about what to do if you land early morning in Iceland.
We went to a low-key bath place with a nap room. It was a perfect place to hang out until our rental was ready.
I've gotten a lot from that site. I just haven't thought much, between parent wrangling & making the basic arrangements.
Me, alone? Straight to pool/baths. But I need to accompany my parents for Reasons.
Yeah, the place we went just had lots of places to just sit and chill out. Plus a cafe attached.
Health-ma for your dad, Kate!
Good thoughts for your dad, Kate!
