Because books.

smonster is me. But I don't get her and Tom and Nora for Thanksgiving, sadly.

Thankfully Thanksgiving is chill for me--I haven't gone home for it in 20 years! Not facing it until Christmas. :)

OMG, that fake Target ad is hilarious. Love it.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

When I watched the fake Target ad, I thought to myself, self, you are lucky to not have to hide from family. But...I'm so tired of being the grown up. I know I'm the parent/elder in the house and I'm lucky I don't have to cook. But I'll be on Jack duty through Sunday trying to care for him and hopefully there won't be any problems with C's daughter.

She just landed in Denver.it will be at least an hour before they get home and I just want to go to bed. I should have napped earlier but I missed my opportunity. Being awake and downstairs when a stranger comes in the house is much preferable to upstairs and asleep.at least from Jack's perspective.

brillig

I have pie. More than that, I have Marie Callender's pie, fruits of my faux-grandma generosity to a school fund drive. Key lime and cherry (2 separate pies). It's going to be a good week.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have thanksgiving dinner leftovers from Sunday to eat all day Wednesday before 2nd thanksgiving dinner Thursday. Truly I am blessed m

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

My Hamilton has arrived! The soundtrack has been delivered. And after an enormously frustrating two days, iTunes has finally consented to copy it to my phone.

Ryan enjoys singing to himself around the house. Usually tunes he's learning on the recorder. Yesterday he was jumping from "Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat worms" into "But what do we have in common? We're reliable with the LADIES!" I'm not entirely convinced worm-eating is the right path for that, but what do I know?

Punishingly Intricate

My friend's 5 year old is a little tired of his mom's Hamilton obsession so he's been singing "Alexander Poopleton."

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Ahaha, Alexander Poopleton. Love it.

Amy, wish you could join us.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

So of course my [redacted] waits until the last day before a holiday weekend to ask for major changes to the [redacted] that will be launching at midnight this Sunday. Of course. And the other two people who would usually be helping me with this are both on leave and can't be reached.
