sj, I don't know what to tell you. Mr. S has figured out how to get out of his room, so we occasionally get a toddler wandering around while we're getting ready in the morning. (We had taken one of those plastic things you put on a doorknob to keep little ones from opening the door, and put it on the knob inside his room.)

We have those on the inside of F's doors because she figured out door knobs early, but she won't even go in her room during the day. And if she is upset enough and determined enough she can get those off. If she is mad she will find something to destroy. So really the only way I can do anything during the day like shower, is to put her in her high chair.

I used to make Emmett come into the bathroom with me while I showered, and he'd lie down on the bathmat with a folded towel for a pillow, and a big towel for a blanket.
Curiously, this is now one of his earliest and fondest memories.

I used to do that with my mom. However we have the teeniest bathroom ever and getting myself out of the shower is precarious at best.
