Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Good job being semi-sensible, Tep. Maybe 3/4 of a gold star? Electrum star?

Hey, the lawn looks GREAT, tho.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I mowed the lawn earlier and my stupid bad left ankle went out on me and I fell on my ass in a pratfall worthy of Dick van Dyke.

See this is why I let the clover and dandelion take over and refer to my front lawn as a "meadow."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was literally just marveling at the patterns on baseball grass, so you can imagine how impressed I am that I know someone who would checkerboard her own lawn.

DHS cannot keep kids indefinitely, no more than 20 days. Expect court challenges.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I was standing at this exact spot this morning, about 8½ hours before the ceiling collapsed.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thanks to all you Buffistas, the discussion here has eased my dim mood a little. I slept restless last night, including a nightmare where a tornado was threatening my family's beach house and I couldn't get anyone to hide in the inside room with me.

Paging Dr. Freud...

Holy shit, Tom!

It's a good thing this happened before rush hour, or there would have been dozens of injuries.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes!

I'm a little obsessive. Plus, I figure that checkerboarding it cuts it more closely, which means I don't have to mow it as frequently. Because in addition to being obsessive, I am also very, very lazy.

At last night's performance, Springsteen said: "There's the beautiful quote by Dr. King that says the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice. Now, there have been many, many days of recent when you could certainly have an argument over that. But I've lived long enough to see that in action and to put some faith in it. But I've also lived long enough to know, that arc doesn't bend on its own. It needs all of us leaning on it, nudging it in the right direction, day after day. You've gotta keep, keep leaning. I think it's important to believe in those words, and to carry yourself, and to act accordingly." (link)

I would really like to believe it's true, that we just need to keep leaning. But I don't know ...
