In other news, my most embarrassing housekeeping success of the day: I just threw away all the canned food my grandmother had stored in the basement. My grandmother who died five years ago.
No embarrassment there! You did get rid of it after all.
And in the intervening five years you were well provisioned for the zombie apocalypse.
Timelies all!
Gary's mom came over to watch Mr. S while we went to lunch and got groceries. Exciting, I know.
We lost at the casino. But had fun.
Also Jacuzzi bubble baths are the bomb.
That is not embarrassing that is tackling a majorly onerous project.
I am back from National Book Fair. I got food+drunk with friends before that. Ended up with an Arendt and a disability studies' book (+ a book for a friend and a book for my mom).
I very much doubt my choices for myself, but so much fun. Sleep now.
I think I hit Peak Thrifting Score yesterday: a Bakelite mourning brooch, probably from the late Victorian era, for $6. I also found brand new pointy toe leather shoes from some high-end Italian brand.
Ooh, that is a score!
Home from second round of playing with the band this weekend. So fun! So tiring. I think someone asked if they could book us, though??? I wonder if they would do that.
Bridal shower was a smashing success. Decorations, food, games, goodie bags, presents, people, all good. Looking forward to her mom sharing the pictures because I didn't take any and bride has only posted one so far. Exhausted.
I've got my boarding pass on my phone! I'm in the 21st century!
