Sheryl, what are the current Disney Jr favorites in your house? ltc loves Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, and Little Einsteins.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm sorry to hear about your father, Suzi, but you have a ginormous cheering section here for you.

And Bev's advice about the card sounds spot on to me too. Looking back, it is amazing how long my mother covered over her cognitive losses.

They admitted her to hospice on Monday, and her doctor says they won't release her to rehab or a nursing home. She's there for the rest of her time. It's a nice place, with good care.

Sounds like a blessing to me, esp if they care *for* her as well as take care of her

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

sj, well we watch what's on when we get home. Which is Puppy Dog Pals, Muppet Babies and Mickey & the Roadster Racers.

He used to watch PBS Kids, but started to ask for "Mi Mouse" a couple months ago.

(and I am earwormed by the theme songs...sigh)

We watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but not the Roadster one. I record a few shows or pull up what she wants on demand. She's started to move away from Sesame and Daniel Tiger.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Oh, msbelle, that is good news!

Hivemind, I need your help. I want to put together a small gift for my team at DCC. I'm a manager and have 2 coordinators, 6 captains, and 6 crew under me. Last year when I was a coordinator, I made small survival kits for my captains - mints, generic purell, a small tissue pack, a painted rock, and some other little goodies along those lines. Another manager I know gets nice pens for her team with a sticker that has their name and the DCC logo. I got one last year even though I wasn't on her team and I love that pen.

I don't have a lot of time to make anything, otherwise I was thinking of making chainmaille key fobs or something. Maybe I'll do similar but smaller? I think I got most of the stuff at the dollar store.

Ideas, please?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Mmmm, I'm still battling morning fog here. How about one of those little sewing kits, the kind you used to get from hotels? (I don't know how much they cost or what your budget would be.)

A keychain-attachable small flashlight is a really useful thing.

I'm only thinking of expensive things. Foo.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The "zombie apocalypse survival kits" I gave my staff last year included little tins of Nivea, nail file, individually wrapped sanitizing wipes, and chocolate - all from the dollar store.

If you have any way to find out how many of your team have iPhones and how many have Android phones, here are personal mini-fans [link] .

Our wings are not tired.

I am incredibly sad over the Anthony Bourdain news. Some just hit you more than others. You look at someone and think they have it all, and don't see the level of pain. It feels stupid to be so choked up over someone I don't know. And yet.

Because books.

Uh oh. I haven't looked at any news yet.
