I'm sorry about the pooch, Scrappy.
Well, I got one good day out of the holiday weekend. I had to cancel all my plans on Saturday and Sunday—farmer's market, good Mexican food, excursion to see Fun Home, trying a new Memphis yakitori place, Solo, a cousin's poolside birthday party—for digestive issues and a migraine respectively. Yesterday I felt fine though, so I managed to get my new comics filing system assembled, catch up on basic chores, and take a nice evening drive in the country. Also got to visit with the old king of the alley who still remembers me fondly even though his formerly friendly son now runs away whenever I approach.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
He's gone. The vet was very good and kind and it was as peaceful as these things could be.
