Been subbing every day which is great, but tiring. Today I had 22 2nd graders. They were adorable but needed attention EVERY SINGLE SECOND. Also, even when you have the whole group quiet, interested and all looking directly at you while you give them a short sentence of instruction (put your poem in your writing folder), at least six of them will come up to you later asking where to put their paper.
Tomorrow is kindergarten. I love kids that age, but have never taught a group of them, so it should be, um, challenging.
Here's the main article. Trigger warning for sexual assault. I know several people who saw him at some point in their career, usually back when they were grad students.
It would take way too long to explain all the ways this is making me angry, but gaarggh
Oh wow, Scrappy, 2nd graders one day, kinder the next, that's a big shift
Ugh, Burrell. I heard a snippet about that on the radio and wondered what kind of fallout there might be for you.
Whee, Scrappy?
Oh, Sue! Oh, wow. Love and comfort of whatever sort may be appealing to you.
Oh my God, Sue. That is so much and so awful. I am so sorry. We are here for you if you need to, well anything.
Holy cow, Sue. How awful. I'm so sorry for you and your family. I hope you have some support available, and do not hesitate to ask people for help. This is why they are here.
Holy schmao, Sue! That's too much. Shock is completely understandable.
And -t, no direct fallout for me, although there might be issues over the longer term depending on how things land
