Well done, msbelle.
Going to see
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf
tonight with DH. Earlier in the week they had called to say that one of the actors fell ill and the replacement would still be on script tonight (opening night), and I could switch out my tickets for a later performance if I wanted. Heck no, it won't throw me off at all if dude is reading. Looking forward to it. Tomorrow going to watch wedding stuff at the theater with Tate's mom so we can see how we are supposed to dress when the kids get married. (I assure you there will be no hats and gloves in Florida in July) Then tomorrow night seeing a student production of 42nd Street at the Jupiter theater. My calendar overflowith.
Mueller is tough - he was in combat in Viet Nam; left the Marines when he discovered that he didn't like being a Marine with a desk job. He was the head of the FBI for longer than anyone except Hoover. Tough man.
And no doubt Trump thinks he can go toe to toe with Mueller. It is torture to wait through this process, but I have to expect that Mueller is going as quickly as he feels prudent.
I saw a report that they were having a practice of Trump answering some of the questions that were released a while ago ... in four hours they got through two questions (he tends to ramble). And Mueller has rejected the request that the answers to his questions be provided in written form.
It must terrify Trump's handlers to think of him under oath and every word being taken into consideration.
It certainly should.
I mean, his idiot kid has already admitted to basically committing treason during the campaign. And while Trump himself would require impeachment proceedings to remove, Mueller is well within his power to indict any of the advisors and hangers-on if he finds dirt on their hands.
Ugh. I told the company we are working with I needed their edits by COB Thursday. No word. Midnight, she emails me to say she'd have them to me by noon today. At 12:30 I ask where they are, she says by 2. At 230 I tell her if I don't have them by 3pm I won't make the changes. She emails them at 3:01. Goddamn.
Sounds like you're clear to not make changes then, meara. And it also sounds like the company rep isn't that invested in getting their work published.
It's also raining in New Orleans, where a sinkhole has started swallowing cars. (Not near any of our NOLA people.)
I feel your pain, meara. My deadline for people to send me changes was close of business on Wednesday. My manager ended up chasing them down yesterday afternoon, which meant I got the final changes at 6:30, so I was working until 8:30. Apparently my solution of "fuck them, they knew when the deadline was" didn't fly when you're talking about PMs reviewing documents that are about to be released.
