Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Matt, I'm so very sorry about your dad.

I've skipped 700 posts. mea culpa. Can't deal. Had an anxiety meltdown over work today, luckily no one can see me freaking out over a stupid piece of paperwork.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

{{Matt}}

And {{Zen}} I know this feel, intimately and recently. I hope the paperwork has been tamed post-freak-out.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Zen. I hope everything worked out alright in the end.

Do y'all remember my post last week about my run-in with the event organizer and the need for better signs directing people with mobility issues to the elevators? Well, I received an email from her today. She's gone to the venue and shared my concerns with them, and they will be revising their signs to improve elevator visibility. So while the process wasn't everything I could have wanted, the end result will be good for future events at the venue. Nothing about, "Hey, maybe I shouldn't have called you a troll at my event where you were a paid attendee," but the practical result is the important part. (And I can wrap any hurt feelings in the mantle embroidered "I won". Good lord, that's petty of me. And yet.)

Our wings are not tired.

Plotting my route for driving to NY for the summer and the bogus potus has made me scrap my plan. I thought I would stop and see cousins in Alabama because I have never been to their place. They have horses and generally I really like them. EXCEPT for politics. They have not engaged with me over it and we have long adopted an agree to disagree policy. However, the date I would be headed that way aligns exactly with the North Korea summitt and I don't see how the subject wouldn't be discussed. It is a failing on my part perhaps, but I just can't be in the presence of supporters of Trump. Any rah rah statements would put me in a position of pointing out what a vile human he is and it would deteriorate from there. I don't know, maybe I can visit them on the return journey. Blah.

So looking at a layover in NC maybe.

Hey Strix, if you are around I was going to let you know I have a Nissan Sentra repair manual y'all can have if you want. I don't have a Sentra anymore so I don't need it.

Laura, if your NC route takes you near the Chapel Hill/Durham area, I'd love to grab dinner or suchlike with you, if the timing works out.
