My younger niece got into Cal for grad school! YAY! She was waitlisted, and this will make life much easier for her. She can quit her job (which is stressful and upsetting) and go to school full-time. So we took her out for drinks and noms.

And now I am watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. And thinking about pie.

Surely Twitter has an "I forgot my password" procedure of some sort? I don't actually know, though.

I ended up going to the gym, briefly, and only sorta eating dinner, but am so glad I went to the film it was awesome! A documentary about contestants in a trans male bodybuilding competition! And it was cute and sweet and hot and funny and sad...I loved it. And then there were doughnuts and hot chocolate! So, uh, that made up for the healthy dinner.

I do wish I could magically have a pop up calorie counter that was like tallying everything as I contemplated or ate it. Yes, I could do a lot of that myself (Though a lot is guessing and can be wildly off, when eating outside the house, or when not weighing or measuring portions!).

Oh man, I'm glad I didn't have that as I was eating ridiculously delicious cookies at a going-away party yesterday.

I am giving myself kudos for realizing the person I was trying to schedule with is in Central time.

The good drugs are not living up to their name.

Too often!

I am literally butt hurt. I slipped on the steps of the too hot hotel swimming pool and landed right on my tail on the concrete steps. Amazed that I don't have a bruise, but ouch! I was hoping it would go away overnight, but it didn't.

Breakfast at the hotel included sausage patties. DH had several then did his calorie count when he got back to the room and was horrified. I wondered why he was loading up on them at the time when he is in such a calorie count frenzy lately, but didn't say anything. It didn't occur to me that he didn't know. Oh well, he is in the workout room now trying to make up for it. He is amusing me because this is the first time in his life he has done the serious diet stuff, and he is still in the fanatic stage.

I'm sorry, sj. Did your doctor say something like "if you're still in pain after you take these call the office", because that's the kind of instruction I tend to forget about when I'm still in pain.

I am finally approved as a substitute teacher and a working next Monday and Friday. I am excited and nervous.
