"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

They fixed it! I'm still having the surgery tomorrow.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Whew!

We had a meeting today with some people from another department that we have to do a certain amount of co-ordination with. Which was good! But at one point, we reached the realization that they don't tell us a thing that would be useful for us to know, so they agreed that they would tell us. But then our Director kinda derails the whole meeting wanting to talk about how we can automate that process so they don't have to send us an email, we'll just get a notification. Which is fine, but we certainly can't do that from within this meeting and we really need that notification meanwhile. I'm still annoyed about it.

Because books.

Oh good! I mean, gall bladder surgery isn't really good, but I'm glad the scheduling didn't get all fucked up, sj. Much ~ma for you during and after!

Tep, that sounds awful. Anti-vertigo ~ma!

Yay, shrift!

I am super belatedly watching S2 of Stranger Things. I have no idea why the hell I waited.

Our wings are not tired.

Good grief, sj. It is so completely ridiculous the effort required to get health care. Good it is happening. How exhausting to have to fight so hard to fix their screw ups.

You know how I reported Richard Spencer's legal fee fundraising campaign?

Well done!!

Oh Teppy, so sorry about the vertigo. ~ma that it resolves quickly. Do you have any meds for it?

Our wings are not tired.

AT&T wants me to know that something called I Heart Country and what looks like a golf tournament are happening.

Those efforts made to warp social media profiling are paying off?

I do, but they aren't super effective. It's annoying.

Tim asked me if I had checked my blood pressure, because low blood pressure can make you dizzy. I hadn't checked it in the past couple of months, so I did check it, and it's fairly low for me (though I don't think that the AHA actually considers it "low").

I can cut my BP meds in half starting tomorrow morning, but in the meantime, I don't actually know what to do to raise my blood pressure. Eat salt? (Not salty food; literally a handful of salt.) Watch POTUS deliver a speech?

Huh. The internet does say "eat more salt." But I think it means salty food, not to gnaw on my pink salt lamp. It also says drink more water, which I can do.

And my husband says "Exercise! Sex will probably suffice!" He's such a giver.

Honestly, the very few occasions I've had that, my doctor has told me that if I need, eat some salt. Maybe put some on a few spoonfuls of peanut butter?

Timelies all!
