this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Back at the airport, this time at O'Hare, waiting to come home. Fighting off a migraine that wants to get started. (It's not really a migraine yet, just that feeling that something is poking at my right cheekbone. Hopefully the daith piercing and migraine meds will stomp it flat.) Considering getting the largest order of fries that McDonalds sells.

How many fries is too many fries? I don't believe the number exists.

The AMA always gives us branded swag, and this year's haul includes a fidget spinner. I shit you not. But also a snuggly fleece blanket, which is warm and awesome. Tim can have the fidget spinner.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Just got back from the first day of Malice Domestic. Much books.

We will not be able to see Infinity Wars until next weekend, at least. Hope I don't get spoiled by places I usually hang out online. The Avengers section of AO3 is already getting filled with fics that have spoilers.(What I get annoyed about is the writers who put spoilers in the summary. Not cool, folks.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

How many fries is too many fries? I don't believe the number exists.

Agreed.

Ann, that's a ferret.

When I was young, I spent a few summers working at McD's, including quite a bit of time at the fry station. I must respectfully disagree.

My senior year in high school, I worked at a McD's where the fry station was next to the drive-thru. The drive-thru crew never understood why I was happy to run orders into the parking lot during winter without a jacket.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I considered going to see Infinity War today, but I had too much to do. Instead I have picked up paint samples for my exterior of the house -- various shades of blue and cream -- and shall paint more blotches on the side of the garage.

I had a facial earlier (gift certificate from my sister), and I gotta say, I'd rather have a massage. Spending 45 minutes getting goop smeared on my face and then removed is just not all that interesting to me. It's not even relaxing, really.

I don't think I've had McD's fries in many years. But there's a place in downtown Seattle that makes the most amazing fries I've ever had -- I think they cook them in duck fat. SO GOOD.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I find facials so relaxing! I prefer massages to be closer to physical therapy, so not relaxing per se, but good for me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Jessica, I didn't realize that was your new employer.

Not new - I just switched to a different subsidiary.

What is even happening?

Better, he's been on just a cannula rather than mask for the past couple of days with good oxygen numbers and excellent blood pressure. Still weak and painfully swollen, but it sounds like they're getting ready to transfer him to a rehab facility.

That's good to hear, Matt.

A Bronzer friend -- newt, if any of you Bronzed back in the day -- is writing a freelance article and looking for Pennsylvania residents over 50 who travel by plane fairly often and don't have a passport. Any takers, hit up my profile address and I'll pass on the word to her.

If you ask me, the newt name still means something! (I love newt.)

Was trying to figure out when my last car payment is. Kinda hard when you can't find the account # and apparently never wrote down your u&pwd. I guess I should call them...I think I might've set it up all electronic...and then never logged in.

My candidate for minion accepted the offer! She starts in July. Likely when I'm in Iceland. So now I have to pull together a training plan absent me for like 2 weeks. Which I should do anyway, because best case scenario is she starts the day I get back@@. We coulda required a June or earlier start date, but she's gotta move here, was hoping to hike a portion of the Appalachian trail & launch slipped a year in the course of hiring. Is what it is. I liked her a lot. And she's organized in ways I am not & that will be great.
