I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

None of my caftans have pockets, but I love them anyway. I'm usually carrying duffel bag of some sort when I'm in a caftan, come to think of it. Huh.

Turbans might be nice for those days when I really should wash my hair but getting out of bed is too hard.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I think I might have to avoid a lot of social media until I see Infinity War. I've heard of two people getting some spoilers without trying. UGH.

It's been out over here since Wednesday, which was also a public holiday. Alas, I spent the Wednesday stricken with Dreaded Lurgi. I have been attempting to explain to Biyi why Ryan and I should see it on the weekend before we are taken down by unwanted spoilers.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm just glad I'm visibly sick, so maybe people will feel bad for me. I hate feeling worse than I seem on the outside.

I'm in Michigan and I'm very groggy. I'm here for my youngest niece's birthday this weekend, and to watch all three of them in a dance recital next weekend. I've demanded that someone go with me to Infinity War while I'm here, but we haven't bought tickets yet.

I suspect I will be staying off social media by watching a lot of hockey and reading books until we go.

I've also got to get off the internet because I'm not seeing Infinity War until Sunday night!

Librarian Warlord

The trade war has hit my library: we can't get the stapler cartridges we need because of the steel tariffs. Distributors just aren't bothering. People who are not librarians may not realize just how much patrons complain about staplers, but OH MY GOD do they complain.

Also, my house has drywall up, and now I just want them to finish, finish, finish. Someone please distract my husband while I pick out colors for the walls. (My mother once asked what his favorite color was, because she was knitting a sweater. I replied, "Clown." He likes things . . . bright.) We hope we can move into one and a half or two floors in June.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is there a way to turn off seeing comments in the FB newsfeed? Because that's the primary source of spoilers for most people, I think. (On Twitter you can mute words to eliminate most potential minefields, but FB will show you spoilery comments on otherwise safe posts.)

I made cold brew last night for the first time this season and I might have forgotten it was concentrated when I poured myself a very large glass this morning. EVERYTHING IS IN CRYSTAL CLEAR FOCUS AND I AM BEING VERY PRODUCTIVE.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Being focused on Dad's recovery has helped immensely in avoiding spoilers. I'm not seeing entertainment news, don't have time to surf the web other than the occasional catch-up here, and on facebook I've been going directly to my family group, none of whom are geeky enough to spoil me about anything. (Well, aside from my cousin's surprise engagement, anyway.)

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My son-in-law is going to see it tonight and he swears he won't spoil us, but I know him. When he is excited, he has to share. He does try to be vague but somehow doesn't vague it up enough.

I took advantage of living in Colorado last night and got a great night's sleep. Foot pain is meh today which I'm hoping means I got the pain down enough that Ibuprofen is keeping it down. I'm also trying to baby it even more than I did before.

In crazy house news, I'm having the heads of my sprinklers updated in the front, changing up the backyard watering set-up, getting a new sprinkler control system, and FULL COPPER REPIPE in my crawl space. Ok, not FULL, just the sprinkler line from the front to the back. But this means I have two guys in and out of the house, down into the crawl space with accompanying noises, and going through the garage to the backyard. Meanwhile I have the two puppies fenced into my living room. Winter hasn't been bothered much, though she practically crawled into my lap when the downstairs noises were at their peak. Crowley has been barky and I'm working on redirecting him with treats. He seems ok when they come into the house from the garage and then go down into the crawl space. But the reverse gets his hackles up along with the barking. He isn't jumping at the barrier, so I'm taking that as a good sign.

So the company I work for isn't satisfied with being able to break into your house, now they want to break into your car too.
