Oh, Suzi, I'm sorry to hear all of that. But I'm pretty sure that this might have happened to anyone, and it's not about your weight. I don't know anything about foot bones, but I know teeth can break on ice cream and salad -- sometimes shit just happens.
I'm staying home sick again today, since I woke up at 4am, totally unable to breathe through my nose, but I have to try to get work done.

Tis a new day and I feel like I'm going through the stages of grief. Stuck between denial and anger. Now that I know it is broken and not just a muscle issue, the pain seems to have ramped up. But I have so much work and homework, pain meds are not happening.
I appreciate your kind words. My local friends are offering help and I'm going to try to be better about asking for and accepting help this time.
Ugh, I'm sorry Suzi, that's a bummer. For the pain, do OTC meds help? For me they often do a better job than the opiates at killing the pain, but every body is different

I'm looking at Mother's Day gifts, and I feel like I should get some credit for not even considering a turban for my mother.
My mom could totally rock a turban if she wanted to. She generally likes a brim to keep the sun out of her eyes, though.
