Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Epic, holding a good thought for your cousin.
Gud, congratulations.
-t, I've never had bacon jerky but am missing it now on your behalf. I hope your day improves.
When is the wedding, Laura?
sj, iirc, Monique had hers out, and was better off for it. I know another Bronzer who still raves (in the good way) about "divorcing" her gall bladder. I hope it does the trick for you, too.
Oh Epic! So much ~ma for your cousin.
Wedding is July 14th. Probably doing a shower for her on June 10th. Very excited about everything, but kind of need to get moving with my parts. ATA: like picking the mother/son dance song!
Epic, all the ma for your cousin.
Thank goodness for the Starbucks app or I'd be forced to drink office coffee and be VERY CRANKY.
The Starbucks app has, one more than one occasion, been the only thing that kept me fed and caffeinated on days where I forgot my wallet and my lunch.
Epic - so much ~ma to your cousin.
Today has been better than yesterday. My foot hurts but isn't in pain - if that makes any sense. The big difference is my brain isn't stuck in a dark cloud so far today.
Yesterday I had fussed to Kelly about my foot. She surprised me by stopping at my place on her way home to use some of her PT magic on me. She was mostly working on my calf, but it helped my foot.
I'm completely on the Starbucks app bandwagon. I don't go to Starbucks as much as I used to, but I've been in similar situations where that was the only "money" I had.
All these children growing up is mind boggling. I know I have my own and have watched the transformation, but I still boggle at them.
I've had bacon jerky once and wasn't impressed - I'm hoping that experience was not a representative sample. I'm willing to try again because that should be DELICIOUS.
It's mostly that I can basically have bacon in my desk drawer for emergencies. Bacon emergencies. You know.
Timelies all!
~ma to your cousin, Epic.
We found out this weekend that Mr. S can undo the latch on his stroller, and get out. We tried to keep him in the stroller by wrapping the latch with gaffer tape, but he undid that after about 10 minutes.(We did joke about keeping him in the stroller by wrapping the whole thing with gaffer tape, but didn't.) He's a smart kid, god help us...
If duct tape can't hold him you are definitely in trouble.
duct tape can't hold him
An excellent idea for a t-shirt, with bits of duct tape adhesive in spots all over it.
Best thoughts for your cousin, Epic.
I am sick, and I don't like it! And I want to go to work tomorrow, because it's a whole-team training/bonding thing in the afternoon, and I'd rather not miss it. But if I'm even worse Thursday, I have meetings that day I really really shouldn't miss. Uggghhhhh. Maybe I'll try to sleep in and see how I do. Or just take drugs and power through.
I was gonna call this my non-whiny news, but being pathetic was part of it. I was in TJs moving VERY slow, attempting not to set off my foot. One of the folks asked if he "could help with anything, Miss.". a) Had been a long time since anyone called me Miss. and b) I guess I lOOked more pathetic than I felt.
Then I was at the cashier and same guy went to grab my cart before I was at his area, which is usually fine. But it was my support and I guess I wobbled a bit. He apologized and we chatted a bit about injuries in general. A moment after he popped my bags in my cart, the manager walked by and kinda snuck a bouquet of flowers in my cart. When I noticed, right at the door, both were busy but they heard my thank you and each gave me a quick smile.
There are good people out there.
