Because books.

Work was awful last night. Pretty sure every caller was either high or angry they weren't.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ugh, Amy.

I am supposed to be on a diet for the next two weeks before surgery, so that I lose some weight and my liver shrinks a bit, supposedly making it easier to remove my gallbladder. So shake for breakfast and lunch and then real food for dinner. Three days in and I am cranky and want to kill everyone.

Thanks! It was to the tune of a Doc McStuffins song, and I thought it was quite advanced fandom activity for a 2 year old.

Our wings are not tired

From the Joybird furniture discussion that I think was here a few days ago. I'm currently at the scratch and dent sale in San Diego. Just got a leather Joybird swivel chair for $350. They have full sectionals for less than $1000.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I didn't run into any obvious 420 activity yesterday. But there were some hand-rolled butts of some sort outside a neighbor's apartment. And his tobacco cigarettes are usually storebought, so. No effect on me either way. I'm glad Matilda got home ok.

Oh wow, ND—somehow I missed from your post on FB that it was joybird that's awesome! I should find out if there's any similar sales/deals in Seattle. I need a new sofa bed. But then again, I also need a new lot of things—all the appliances in my house came with the house and are close to giving up the ghost. I can't decide if I should buy another part to fix my microwave (I already did one) or just buy a new microwave...but then I was looking at dishwashers...

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Got to Toronto last night. Exhausted, but Gary's here now, so I have a little bit of a reprieve.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Report from inside a recreational shop per CJ. They had a constant stream of business - he does security, so was checking IDs and putting folks on a list to be brought from the lobby back to the sales room, escorting people when their name is called. He was exhausted and broken when he got home after this 12 hour shift. The shop did at least 4 times their average sales.

CJ said there were WAY more out of state customers as well as obviously nooby customers. Poor punkin had to be back at work this morning at 7am after getting home around 11:30 pm last night.

Personally, I stayed away from the park where the Vote for your Lives rally was Thursday night. My only excursion yesterday was to the grocery store. So pretty peaceful in Suzi-world.

I'm glad Matilda arrived home ok, despite the time. It sounds like she was with friends. I'm glad she didn't have to navigate the detour alone.
