I hit a wall at work today. The combination of Earth Week and all that entails, implementing a new recycling system in three buildings next week (a project I'm managing all on my own) and student move-out starting at the end of next week (which I co-manage with another person), and having to get performance reviews AND budgets in all at the same time...I didn't eat breakfast until 1:00 PM today, and that was while I was tabling for campus Earth Day. I am a hundred percent over everything.

Dana, fyi, Ezra Pound once wrote, "Winter is icumen in, lhude sing goddam" ... which I could really sympathize with yesterday. It was COLD ... and the weather report was talking about the possibility of "flurries"!

By the way, were people aware that there is an actual Vampire Ground Finch? I was watching a nature show and, sure enough, they drink blood (not enough to kill - they're small birds - but still).
