I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Too tired for a bunch of words, wanted to say hi.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

::waves back:: Hi, -t!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

hi, -t!

I had a really nice day. Got up early and went hiking with a friend and the beast, and then skipped a chorus practice because the beast rolled in fresh cow poop and had to be washed. Then did some stuff around the house, and then my sister picked me up to go to dinner.

Last year, my big sister had an overhead fan installed in her bedroom because menopause. Except during the winter, the remote for the fan stopped working. So last weekend, I spent about an hour researching the fan and the remote, and eventually found a troubleshooting guide, and spent 10 minutes trying new settings on the remote, until I got it working. Which basically saved Sister $300 to bring in an electrician.

So she took me out to dinner tonight as a thank you. And it was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Super-tasty endive salad, and then I had an amazing pork chop with bourbon glaze and parsnip puree and sauteed apples. And then a fabulous goat cheese custard with strawberry and rhubarb. I am replete, and happy.

I hope everyone here is having a really good evening. Mwah.

That sounds delicious, Consuela!

I had a lovely weekend (also took Friday off) with my bestie and lots of seeing other friends, but now Monday is that much more annoying.

Our wings are not tired.

Yum, great payment for tech support.

I filed an extension for my taxes. Wells Fargo, or as we call it WTF bank, sent me a 1099 Misc for "income" that made no sense. I called and the research dude said generally vendors get them, which I am not. I also got a mortgage interest paid to them form, which is true. They still haven't managed to figure out why this was sent so I can't file my taxes until they void the thing. It would be fine if they actually wanted to pay me what they claimed they did, but I suspect that won't happen.

ION, I am researching photo booth software and printers because the VW bus photo booth is $800 for 3 hours and I ain't doing that.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Quiet here today.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I went out to lunch and came back to the news that Sean Hannity is Michael Cohen's secret client or something?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It was downpouring here on a Monday morning, which is a discouraging way to start the week.

But not as discouraging as getting snow in mid-April.

Chez Zmayhem is having a game night tonight with megan walker and Sean (before Sean goes away) and will be breaking out my new Buffy board game.

Matilda has been keen to build up her core and upper body strength in advance of "Assessments" in her Aerial which will allow her to move up a level. So she's been getting me to exercise with her, so I've run the steps at Kezar two days in a row and am appropriately sore.

Yep. Which means, at the very least, that Hannity, one of the first Trump supporters, has been endorsing a candidate that he has significant financial ties to without ever disclosing it.

Also, Ronan Farrow just won the most-deserved Pulitzer ever.
