I had apple pie for breakfast! I feel like I won, somehow.
I'm not being terribly productive at work, but I've written a to do list, so that's something. The list has triggered me remembering other things, so that's good too as long as it doesn't pass the point of just becoming overwhelming.
In weird things my brain decides to tangent on, I'm starting to get a wee fearful of how isolated I may get from the world if I move and live alone again.
This morning Dad had his first fully lucid visiting hour since they put his chest drain tube in last week. Luckily it coincided with one of his nephews stopping by for a visit, so he got to see multiple family members while he was in a state to appreciate it. Back to alternating sleep and delerium for the noon visit, but I hope the dialysis starting today will improve his mental state as his body recovers a bit.
That's a win for sure, Theo!
Your next move will be near people you already know, msbelle, won't it?

Oh, I'm sure she'll be fine, but it is exhausting to cook a big meal only to hear that it is "icky" or "you know mama this isn't very good".
The REALLY fun part of this phase is how they change their minds about what they like every two minutes. My mom sent me this Calvin & Hobbes strip 7 or 8 years ago, and it's been on the fridge ever since. (I'm pretty sure she copied it out of an actual book, since I can't find a bigger version online.)
[edit: SORRY for that weirdness! The original URL from Google Image search was apparently too long for one post!]
