My grandmother died this morning. It really is for the best, but man, my uncle is wrecked. Poor thing.

I'm so sorry, Jesse. Yes, comfort and peace for your family.
Laura, that dish sounds amazing! I'ma have to try it.
I am sorry Jesse. Best thoughts for your Uncle.
I have a friend coming over in an hour and a half to help me with house stuff. It is making me clean the living room, kitchen and bathroom, so that is good. Man I have let things go.
I should spend a full weekend here pretty soon just dealing with paper.
Hivemind: If I can access bills online I don't need to keep paper copies, right? Like electric, credit cards and what not. I mean I get half of them electronic only.
I can probably jump start this paper wrangling by making file labels.
I dealt with paper this morning! Shredded a bunch, and went through all my childhood stuff and threw most of it away. Found and kept some real gems, though, including the fact that I apparently once asked my mother if Jesus was a nickname for Santa Claus.
msbelle, if you don't need copies for tax purposes I wouldn't worry about it. I pay most everything on line and just download the statements if I might need them. Paper, ick!
Laura, that dish sounds amazing! I'ma have to try it.
I should have taken a picture because it was pretty. I started with this recipe, but didn't use bacon or their dressing, and used cranberries rather than raisins, and spinach tortellini. So really was just used as inspiration. That happens a lot when I try and follow recipes. [link] I dropped it off at the neighbors earlier since I will walk over and didn't want to carry it tonight.
I'm so sorry, Jesse. It's been a hard few years around here.
I'm a fan of cranberries rather than raisins. Pretty! Sounds tasty, too.
My condolences, Jesse - wishing for peace for your whole family
