Punishingly Intricate

Good thoughts for your dad, Matt.

Still, the I Know All and the rest of you are idiots attitude of youth gets real old.

Nobody wants to work with That Guy

I'm working from home today, and have actually been working.

Progress on Task 1 and am now waiting for info from other people before I can do more.

Got what I need from others to do Task 2, so I'll start on that after I eat something and maybe shower.

I've managed to do that and stay on top of emails while clearing off most of the TiVo, so all in all a banner day for accomplishments.

If I get through Task 2 in a timely fashion I might take a break and run the vacuum / start a load of laundry. Crazy fun times up here in casa Boston.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Best thoughts for your dad, Matt. And you, and the family.

Our wings are not tired.

I often call Mac, Jon Snow.

I do this too. He hasn't read the books, but he has seen the memes so he knows what I am saying.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Thanks everyone. Crossing my fingers that the new antibiotic the nurse practitioner put Dad on this morning works wonders.

And that the move to a different floor keeps him away from the cajoling tech who interrupted his sleep repeatedly last night and was more concerned about moving him to prevent bedsores than the agony that was hitting him every time we shifted him in the bed. Lady, I agree that bedsores = not good, but my main concern is currently the pneumonia that's making him moan every time he takes a deep breath, since I've personally known younger people who DIED as a result of respiratory problems.

ETA: All the nurse practitioners and nurses have been great so far, it's just the one pushy, wheedling tech that's gotten on my last nerve.
