I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, some of my kosher-for-passover foood is being delivered today and it is ridiculous how excited I am to try new snacks! There are two reform synagogues in Vallejo and a Chabad house in Vacaville but I don't know where those people shop, the whole county is pretty scarce on kosher anything.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We are well-stocked with Passover snacks, thanks to Moti's Kosher Mart. I do wish the regular supermarkets had better selections, but it is what is.

I was dreading next summer, but now it looks like 2020 for JWST launch. It's not great. A couple years of budget limbo with this nightmare admin.

sarameg, I haven't looked at the budget, but many of the articles I've seen assert that the Democrats got increases in science spending over the last few years. Maybe that will help?

I should take a look & see what our budget looks like, but since I don't set any priorities it's kind of pointless.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I don't mind his self-confidence in general, but seriously dude. His inability to recognize that people with way more experience might have a clue is a real handicap.

Argh. Raising same kid over here

Our wings are not tired

His response of course was that he would have a better way because he is always the best wherever he works.

Ouch, that's tough. I've had a few smart kids with this attitude that have worked for me over ht years, and none of them have lasted long. I hope that he eventually gets a clue. As smart as he is, there is simply no substitute for years of experience.

Yes, I have told him a few times that until he figures out that he knows nothing, he knows nothing. I do know, from experience, that we do figure this out eventually. Still, the I Know All and the rest of you are idiots attitude of youth gets real old.

OK, been at work for an hour. That seems like enough.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, been at work for an hour. That seems like enough.

Same!

What's the thing about being a kid and thinking your parents know everything, then being a teen and thinking they don't know anything, then growing up and whatever?

Dad~ma, Matt. Much love to you and your family.

That's how I remember it.
