Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Sushi for dinner. When I was a kid I never would have dreamed that I'd happily grab exotic Japanese food as a comfort dinner. I don't know when I even first heard of sushi. It wasn't something that lurked around mid-century rural Appalachian Pennsylvania.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I think the world owes a great deal of gratitude to Maru, Hana, and their human.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just watched an ad in which one of the candidates for governor is literally juggling fire while he gives his campaign pitch.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's what my life is missing -- a house pig!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It's the first day of spring today! Tomorrow we're getting 12″ of snow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

March better get cracking if it's going to go out like a lamb! Because this is some bullshit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just watched an ad in which one of the candidates for governor is literally juggling fire while he gives his campaign pitch.

Please tell me he has great policies because fire juggling is pretty awesome.

Weather report on the radio this morning "and tonight and tomorrow, rain for everyone and lots of it". Which is appropriate for spring. Sorry for y'all's "winter-like storm" as I heard it called.

I am at work hecka early. It's kinda nice, actually. Quiet. But I can only manage to pull this off accidentally.

Because books.

Sorry for y'all's "winter-like storm" as I heard it called.

Apparently it's two Nor'easters combined into one superstorm? Whatever it is, I am not pleased.

In other news, my ex is in the hospital in Syracuse with what seems like it was a stroke, although it's not showing up in imaging (although TIAs don't). Jake called an ambulance Saturday night because S. was confused and couldn't get words out. So far he's generally better in the daytime, and slips into the aphasia more extremely at night, but his blood pressure was like a ridiculously low 119/69 or something, so none of it makes a lot of sense. Worrisome.

Coding and Sleeping

OMG I hate this expense report software. First it didn't work in Firefox. Now when I try to submit it tells me it can't because of... reasons. You know what would help? Telling the user what the issue is because I can't find any errors.
