-t, are your eyes jerking back and forth when things get dizzy? Do things get worse when you lean over and/or bend your head to the side? If so, you might have Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. Which is (a) awful; and (b) often easily fixed.
If not, I can't help you, but if it is BPPV, I recommend looking on Youtube for videos of the Epley Maneuver, which is super helpful.
I have cleaned the kitchen and started laundry and done some paperwork but now I have to make phone calls and whatnot, which I dislike. Bah.
-t, it may just be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo which I have had and is pretty easy to treat. But, I agree, it's best to get it checked out. Sadly, another one of those signs of aging.
Ooh, that sounds like it! Thanks!
And I have an appointment on Monday
Be gentle on yourself over the weekend. I'm glad you made an appointment. Let's hope it is the easy fix mentioned above.
I hope that's all it is, -t. It's sure scary when it first happens. At this stage, I only have the problem once or twice a year, usually first thing in the morning.
Mostly I can just sit there with my eyes closed for a few minutes and the little particles in my ear settle down. If that doesn't work, I'll do the Epley Maneuver once or twice and that will clear things up.
Good luck!
Timelies all!
There was snow falling as I got to work this morning. Flurries, and not sticking, but still...
Yikes, -t. And other vertigans. Good luck!
I wish I had someone to get a drink with after work, but I don't. So instead I'm drinking wine and eating dumplings at home.
That sounds pretty good, Jesse.
I mean, there are worse things.
