OMG, work people. Get it together. I have been asked to take a contract mod and get it in shape for entry into our financial system. Not a big issue, something like this would take an hour. Max. But whoever prepared the mod used the wrong labor rate for one person and then the wrong overhead rate for everyone. And it has already been approved by the client and dude is asking me to "just fix it". Ummmmm, no. You fucked this up, you need to modify the mod and get the client to approve the correct numbers. Even if I could get it set-up to match the screwed up numbers, the accountant isn't going to be able to invoice this with differing overhead rates. This has already taken 3 hours of my time and we don't have a resolution yet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh jeez, Steph. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

I will say I have no leg to stand on here, as I just saw someone about an issue that started over the summer! (FWIW, he said it's not rotator cuff, gave me a shot and sent me to pt.)

Our wings are not tired.

Parents, man.

For Realz. I am hoping I remember the frustrations I had with mine and don't put my kids through the same, and yet I probably will!

Work has prevented me from adequate time on the internet today. And I rush to my workout class right after 5 and don't get home until 7. Not enough hours in the day. Pout.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That bridge collapse in Miami looks scary, Laura. I hope everyone's OK.

The volunteer thing I was supposed to do in Golden Gate Park on Saturday has been cancelled due to the rain, so now I don't have to feel guilty if I needed to bail due to illness.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So far, all Dad's tests and CT scan have had normal results. I'm thinking his blood sugar got too low (he has diabetes) and he got dizzy and passed out. That's relatively easy to manage -- he just needs to test his blood sugar more often and maybe tweak his diet. But he's still at the hospital and they're going to run a few more tests.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Woke up this morning, stood up and nearly fell over. Took a little effort to make it to the bathroom, but I'm feeling fine now. Weird...

All right, nobody fall over. Including Steph's Dad.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Dad of Tep. He's very consistent. I hope he does whatever turns out to need doing to maybe not do that anymore. Can I make that sentence more convoluted and opaque? It would be hard.

He says he doesn't remember passing out

I am casting my mind back to the times I have passed out, and I can't say I ever remember them, exactly. I remember feeling kind of dizzy or just odd and then waking up, usually.

Yikes, Sheryl!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Parents, man.

I know, right?! I hope everything is good with your dad, and that he learns to TELL PEOPLE about this stuff.

(When I saw my dad and his ladylove last week, I turned to her and casually said, "So, any medical stuff he's forgotten to tell me?" Dad said "HEY!", Patty reassured me that there wasn't.)
