I don't know if it's the same during the week, but on the weekend, Buzzr often has old "To Tell The Truth" and similar calm shows on in the morning. If it's "Press Your Luck" or whatever, I would vote no, but anything with Dorothy Kilgallen gets a thumbs up from me.

I expect eclipse viewing sites move pretty quickly. Astro folks are a dedicated lot.

We did have a backup plan although right now I don't remember what it was. Ultimately, if we end up viewing the eclipse from a rest area off of I-5, well, that actually worked quite well when mom and I did that for the annular eclipse a few years ago, so that would probably be fine and achievable. Okay, it's petty, but I just dropped a link to the definition of Sealioning [link] on a particularly aggressive "I just want to understand" poster in one of my friend's FB posts about the rise of violent crimes since the election. I think I might be getting a promotion at work, which is sort of un heard of here. I would keep my higher level duties for the program I work with and take on similar duties for the other programs (helping produce online learning courses, events, and registration). I am hopeful but not counting on it.
