Ouch, a little less enthusiasm there, Strix!!

So, I signed up for this nutritional, uh, service,I guess, and part of the process involves sending them blood samples to analyze (that sounds way sketchier than it does in their marketing copy) so I fasted for 10 hours then drank a 1000 calorie shake and poked my fingers several times this morning. And went and found a FedEx drop box that gets picked up on Saturdays. Have lost all motivation to do anything else.
I hope it gives good insight. I hate the finger poke thing!! I had to do it weekly for both pregnancies and it sucked. Ouch. (I am big baby)
Laura, I've been thinking about trying Orangehteory, so imagine my happiness finding that someone of the same age and, uh, roundness, has already done so! I think I'll check it out this week.
The finger pokes were not too bad, but my digestive system is not pleased with this divergence from my regular way of eating.
It is definitely worth trying the free session, Scrappy. I was super skeptical but happy with how it turned out.
I am wearing more makeup than I usually do, and I'm having to get over that instinctive response of seeing myself in the mirror and thinking I look like a clown. I mean, I'm relatively sure I don't look like a clown.
Isn't Orangetheory the one where you go through a prescribed set of exercises for a predetermined length of time? Or maybe I'm thinking of something else orange-y.
I get the dissonance, Dana. Having worn 'work-face' makeup daily for years, it took a whole year of deliberately *not* wearing it to get to the point where I could chose to wear makeup or not when I stepped out of the house. But in the first part of that year, catching sight of myself would be, "Who's that--oh! Where's my face!"
I'm sure you do not look like a clown. Just different than your current mental image of yourself.
Connie, I've bought several pieces from Art dot com. They do good work.
Today I cleaned out my storage locker. I don't think I'd seen the back half of that locker in 8 or 9 years. A whole lot of stuff went into the dumpster or recycling. I now have a shelving unit and can see most of the items without moving anything. How incredulous do you think they'll be at Best Buy when I bring in a Mac Clone desktop tower and a CRT monitor for recycling?
