Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Oh that's super wrong, Connie. I hope they apologize and fix it.

They've got an automated refund process that processed immediately. Shouldn't a company be less willing to give people their money back? I think I'll find another source of cool pictures. Still, I've got the money for frames now.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Instead of doing this, the people who report to me went in a group to talk to HR. It just feels weirdly aggressive for no reason.

Since I'm pretty sure you are not a monster, that is SUPER WEIRD. And, like, why would you even do that unless you all tried talking to HR individually about some super serious issue but weren't getting any traction, so you all decided to bring the receipts en masse?

Are they all new? Do they not know how this works? Do they not understand how this would be perceived?!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm afraid the newer ones don't understand how it would be perceived and are under the thrall of the the least-new. Who I just turned down for a raise.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oooooooh. Now I get it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

the newer ones don't understand how it would be perceived and are under the thrall of the least-new. Who I just turned down for a raise.

All is now clear. I hope that the end result is better for you than for the least-new, Jesse.

It's kind of you to help your friend, msbelle. It'll be a hard thing for them on multiple levels.

Sorry about the frames, Connie.

Laura, it's so nice to see the family develop toward the future.

As many of you might remember, I've been looking to move back to MI to be closer to family and further from NC summers. Well, this coming Monday I have a Skype interview for a job near Bay City, about an hour and a half from my sister. So any interview~ma that might be available would be appreciated, please.

That is super weird, Jesse. And awkward. Grrr.

Laura, I think OrangeTheory is national (at least, it's in sesttle also)

Today is my last full day in Mexico! I want to go home but don't want to go back to work. Or cold.

Our wings are not tired.

Interview ~ma, Calli!

Sip a margarita for me!

Well, I am on my way to the hour long torture session at OrangeTheory. If you don't hear from me later send condolences to Brendon. Since friend is doing this it will be easier because of the having to show up part. It is more expensive than I would like, so they will have to do a good job with their pitch today. If I survive. Here's hoping all the skinny 20 somethings take pity on the old fat lady.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Connie, I've gotten a couple of pieces of art by 20×200. I just bought a frame but you can buy them framed. I was very happy with the quality of the print itself...I think it came flat but it's been 5 years so I'm not sure.

(Not sure of your taste, but I bought a Jennifer Sanchez piece and adore it.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Jesse, why would HR even entertain that? HR should've sternly reminded them of protocol and sent them off. That's just weird.

Working from home, sometimes I feel like I'm at a disadvantage because I'm not in the thick of office politics. Most times, I'm glad I'm not. I don't want to advance, just hang on until retirement, so I don't care.

Good luck, Calli!

On the good-news front, they said they would call by Thursday if my mammogram needed followup, and they haven't called!
