Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have a friend who sleeps in a hammock every night...in his apartment in NYC. He loves it and says it's cured all his back pain. He's done this for years. No trees in his studio apartment.

Our wings are not tired.

Fun, Suzi!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Suzi, that does sound fantastic.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But stll, it would be possible to make up for lost time, right?

Of course! We never see our neighbors in the winter (save for shoveling).

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

We found a couch. This perfectly nice, ridiculously wealthy young family is redoing their basement, so they're selling their 2nd couch for $75. It's a microsuede full-length, plush, fully reclining sofa.

Guys, I was thinking we were gonna have to drop $400-$600 to get a decent sofa, and I would have paid $400 for this sofa and I'm pretty darned excited about it.

And I got a crazy-solid butcher's block that will extend my kitchen counter space by 5 feet and has weirdly perfect dimensions from a different wealthy older lady for $50.

My bargain kismet was on fire today!!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Way to go, Strix!

My nephew got rid of his bed and hung a hammock in his bedroom for years. He recently switched back to a mattress but he isn't completely sold on it.

Is that The Bristol with 2 places in KC? That's where Maria and I had their amazing Sunday brunch. Which is well worth it.

That's the one, Strix. Their food is awesome.

Good going, Strix!

I just re-joined OK Cupid for the first time in years. I've been trying a couple of apps, but they are both the kind where both people have to agree to make the match, and honestly, I just reject everyone up front. So I'm willing to see who comes to me.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Seconding the recommendation for Bristol's. Their crab cakes stand up to anything I had in Maryland.

Nice, Strix!

Absolutely! It is a very good thing to know your neighbors. I always let them know that if someone pulls into the driveway with a moving truck it is not me and to call authorities.

Now I want to sleep in a hammock, and we are dipping into the 60s tonight so it would be totally awesome, hung between a couple palm trees of course so as not to give ND nightmares.

Well, I watched a couple movies on my YouTube.tv today, but now my television is hating me and not working. Something about the resolution with the computer and Logmein, and HDMI, and I don't know, but it isn't happy. Was super chill to watch for so long today though. Son and I watched Life of Pi and Office Space today. Neither of us had seen Pi, and he had never seen Office Space, which clearly had to be remedied.
