Dick's made the same announcement in 2012, after Sandy Hook, but they say this time will be different.
They didn't roll back anything - they're expanding the stance they took after Sandy Hook for all of their stores this time, in addition to raising the age.

This is not the first time that Dick's has made changes in response to a school massacre. In 2012, after a gunman killed 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., Dick's removed assault-style rifles from its main stores. But a few months later, the company began carrying the firearms at its outdoor and hunting retail chain, Field & Stream.
As of Wednesday morning, the company said, AR-15-style and other semiautomatic rifles will no longer be sold in its 35 Field & Stream stores or on its websites. And this time, Mr. Stack added, the changes will be permanent.
My good friend's mom is a VP at Dick's and she says this was definitely a position based on ethics and not of publicity. Dick's isn't in need of the publicity and in fact is taking a risk since a majority of their stores are found in traditional Trump strongholds. I need to give my innate skepticism a break once in a while, and I am happy to do it now.
My one complaint about my safari bungalow was that it didn't have a hammock like all the others did. (Well, okay, if you don't count the scorpion in the sink all night.)
I do like a hammock.
I like a big strong wide hammock. For about 15 minutes.
But I've been in one nice hammock and two crappy hammocks in my life. I read and sleep on my sides so they don't really work for me.
Guys, we signed the lease and have keys to the new house! We move in the 15th but I started painting the kitchen today. This also means I finally have access to a washer/dryer after two months.
So the previous tenant died young (in hospital), and I didn't hear from my landlord for five days while hammering out the lease and I was freaking out and he had a minor heart attack.
Then I didn't hear from him for 4 days and his other rental property had a fire.
IOW, I'm sageing THE FUCK outta the house after I'm done painting. The landlord is a sweet, really amenable guy, and the house is well-kept, but...SAGEING.
Thank you, Nanita. I need to hear evidence of good things happening.

One of the cruise ships parked next to the one I was on had hammocks on the balconies and I was immensely jealous. I would have slept on the balcony in a hammock every night.

Yes! Sage away but this sounds like a nice fit for you guys.
I gotta say my hammock experiences have been good. The best memory ever was going to Key West a few months after Brendon was born and our hotel room had a hammock on the balcony. Nursing baby, books, doting hubby, and hammock. It was a glorious weekend spent reading, nursing, and sleeping, most of the time on that balcony.
Pix is totally right and ND is wronger than a thing that is wrong
YES I AM. I, too, would sleep in a hammock most (warm) nights, were it practical.
Nanita, thanks for that info. I appreciate their moral stance.
The Viking longship hammock is excellent but I'm sure I'd fall out of it and impale myself.
My hammock stance is Yes, anywhere you can fit one. Come to think of it, I have two pines trees fairly close together...
Matt, that looks like a fine hammock, and I wish you ease of putting it together. The cats will enjoy it too!

Also Strix! Yay house! Sage the f outta that thing and make it yours!
The cats have their own mini-hammock that they haven't touched since about a week after I set it up. Though I do intend to move it alongside the big one and model proper napping behavior for them.
I have no strong opinions on hammocks. Except for the Viking hammock stand, and my opinion of that is WANT.
