Tim's nephew has a BBQ business as a side gig (like a food truck, but not in a truck) and he sets up at local brewpubs and does a pretty good business.* So his BBQ gig tonight is at the brewpub in our neighborhood, and we usually try to go out and give him business, but I'm honestly not feeling it for BBQ tonight. OTOH, it would mean I wouldn't have to cook, and that's always a good thing. But we have to leave in about 90 minutes for Black Panther, so we need to decide soon.
*(I don't even know how he has the energy to work a full-time job, have a relationship, parent 4 kids [1 of which was just born 3 weeks ago], AND do this BBQ side gig. I'm trying to remember if I had that much energy when I was in my early 30s. Maybe?)
Mm, BBQ sounds good. I'm actually full of sushi lunch, though, so may not need any dinner.
Timelies all!
Yay Strix!
We are at Boskone, having survived the 8 hour train trip. (Twice as long as flying, but half as aggravating.)
I half expected Black Panther to be sold out tonight but I got a ticket! I should even have time to eat and get there early enough to get a decent seat.
I had a pint of ice cream for dinner. going to bed soon.
I've got chicken soup in the microwave, but I'm catted. It's a dilemma.
We are waiting for Pho to be delivered.
Surgery went well, I've been resting and napping.
Good to hear, Suzi!
Congrats Strix!
I'm watching (And more importantly, listening to) a documentary about Maya Angelou on PBS. I've missed her wonderfully evocative voice.
Thanks, all!!
We celebrated V Day and our new house tonight. We haven't gone out for V Day or our anniversary in 3 years and we had the fanciest meal I've ever eaten in my life and it was so goddamned good and we spent a little too much money and I'm a little tipsy and I regret NOTHING.
Congratulations, Strix! Yay house!
Suzi, glad the surgery went well!
