Oh, for Pete's sake. I just checked that post to see if there was a smackdown (there was not; our friend was polite and then just let it drop), and a totally different person posted "Just remember that GOD is ALWAYS in charge of your baby's sex and He knows what is best! Let go of your trust in medical tests and TRUST GOD!" And then a bunch of praying hands emojis.
Yes, when you are almost 40 and pregnant, you should definitely not trust medical tests. Especially when you're a medical professional.
This friend (the pregnant one) is so damn good at keeping her cool and not yelling at the kooks who are commenting.
I survived my first week of training! And passed my first test with a 100! It was open note, but I didn't *use* them. ::nods:: Go, me.
Go you!!!
I'm feeling more and more like an imposter every day. We just got a new CEO, my visibility in the company is sky-high right now, and I'm joining the board of directors of the major association in our industry at the end of the month. All I can do is curl up and watch bad TV.
But Maria, you are awesome! It's just me that's a fuckup.
"Just remember that GOD is ALWAYS in charge of your baby's sex and He knows what is best! Let go of your trust in medical tests and TRUST GOD!" And then a bunch of praying hands emojis.
Ahaha. I am going to choose to interpret this as meaning that regardless of your baby's chromosomes or genitalia, God is behind whatever their actual gender turns out to be.
This is, I hope, the Corgi riding a pony story. In case you haven't seen it on FB or Twitter.
None of us are imposters, including me. In fact, I'm pretty damn good, and so are you and you and you.
If there was Olympics natter on the board, where would that be?
In fact, I'm pretty damn good, and so are you and you and you.
This is true. It's a whole thing.
Also, ::hugs Maria::.
Of course. Thank you!
And yes, we're all good most of the time, and pretty damn good on not-best days.
Anytime imposter thoughts come to mind think of what resides in the White House and know you are not only pretty damn good, but absolutely brilliant.
{{Strix and family}} Wishes of peace and comfort for all.
And Go 100% Amy!
Oh, Strix, I'm sorry. Sending love and strength to you and your family.
