Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

Our wings are not tired.

Yawn, went outside to do some moon gazing, although I could see it from inside. Moonset here was 7:05 so only saw a little bit of eclipse. Still, beautiful setting full moon.

eta: I have been watching the live feed from the Griffith and the CA people have a lovely view.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Can confirm. I had a pretty great look at it about an hour ago.

The status is NOT quo.

Barcelona is my favorite city in the whole world. One more vote from me!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

This meeting is so boooooring. I want a cookie.

Or oatmeal, but I was too lazy to make breakfast before it started.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had already had conversations with four people about four wildly different topics before 9:30 this morning. Now I feel like the day should just about be over. And yet?

I'm also annoyed because the person who moved from my team to one organizational level higher won't give me her opinion on something that would have been her job two weeks ago! She is being very strict about just speaking from her current role.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's a weird thing to be uptight about.

Got my offer letter, woohoo! HR sent it after I left yesterday - start day for pay is 2/16 although I won't actually move back and change what I do until 3/1. Life insurance goes back up. Salary goes back to what it was. Performance review will be in May, which seems crazy to me, but I suppose that's how it goes. The organizational structure of the department has changed a little, so that will be an adjustment, but I don't think I care about that very much.

Which is all too the good and it will be nice to have my short commute back. I think I am going to start preparing in earnest to look for something else, though. I'll stick it out to get my 5-year jacket, but I am ready to move on. Do something more meaningful, maybe.

I did not get up to look at the lunar eclipse this time. Pretty moon though.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's great news, -t.

My computer has decided that the shift key is stuck and everything must be typed in all caps.

And I suspect (from online research) that this isn't a strictly keyboard related problem.

Also, I rebooted it hoping it would help correct the issue but guess what? My password isn't in All Caps so now I can't get to anything on my computer. Funzo!

Typing this from the handy backup Chromebook.

Oh, no, Hec. The general rage permeating the zeitgeist has reached your computer, it can only yell.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Instead of the president, I'm watching The Resident, and oh my god, the writing on this show is SO BAD.

I've read that the medical consultant/producer for that show has been placed under review for sexual harassment accusation. Not that I was gonna watch it in the first place. The only medical shows that haven't given me rage blackout were ER and Scrubs.

Another vote for Barcelona. If you have time and can get there, it might be worthwhile to check out the Poble Espanyol.

I'm gonna make a note of that, thanks! I don't know what I'm more psyched about: all the great architecture and museums or eating ALL the seafood.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

YAY -t !!

This is were I start to subtly (not so subtly) suggest that a job search and change is the perfect opportunity to move closer to or in with a Buffista to begin the compound. I AM JUST SAYING.

I am working from home today and I have a new foster, Grace. I thought she was a senior, but OH NO, she is just past puppy, about 2 years old. She would very very much like to play with Bailey and Bailey is thoroughly confused and befuddled by the little dog climbing all over her. Only 2 little Bailey growls so far and I am sitting between them to minimize annoyance. I am hoping Bailey chills out soon and will actually run around outside with Gracie. Pics will be up on FB soon, she's listed as a Chihuahua mix, but I am not so sure. She is small, but not terribly so and she has THE UNDERBITE OF CUTENESS.
