Happy Anniversary, Pix & NoiseDesign!
Good gravy, evaluations... the ones at my job.... eughurchblerg! My supervisor said a bunch of supervisors on her level across the state had begged HR to simplify it because it was too complicated. So HR redesigned it. There are now more categories of blather and the corporatespeak is even more impenetrable. If it isn't actuated syngery, it's synergistic actuation. And there is no way to delineate how well a person does at any particular task. The only thing worse than trying to someone else's is trying to do my own.
OMG, I'm so cold you guys. A hockey game was maybe not the best choice for a frigid night? It was fun, though.
With the work merger, I'll have to learn a new performances system and use corporate speak if I end up with a new manager.
I, like many of us here, hate to ask for help. But with everything on my plate right now, I've been asking for help. And getting help. Yet I'm still overwhelmed. I have a crap ton to get done this weekend and I have not one clue how any of it will happen.
ugh -t, I'm sorry you're going through this crap
Happy Anniversary, home owners!
May you implement a synergistic drive towards excellence.
I need to remember the evaluation posts next week when I write my quarterly goals. Apparently it's unprofessional to put
"Continue to not burn the content servers to the ground"
as a goal.
I have to confess my gross person/bad pet owner situation here, so I don't tell my mother, because she would burn the house to the ground. So I got Buddy in October, but he hates other animals and hates the carrier, and seemed healthy, so I didn't bring him to the vet. At Christmas, my aunt pulled me aside and said, "your cat has worms." I was like, how do you know that?? She said, because I see them on his butt. YIKES. I guess I don't look at his butt?? Finally got to the vet today, and when he moved from sitting on the exam table, there was a worm right there! So apparently he's been leaving them all over my home for three months. I am super grossed out, especially because I have never noticed!
So they gave him pills, and he should be fine. Apparently the pills work, because in the 10 minutes between when they gave them to him and when I got him out of the carrier, he pooped in there and it was extra gross with worms already! But again: GROSS.
54 degrees. This is an acceptable level of cold.
Aw, cowgirl, you are not living in a worm house. They don't usually live outside of a host. If it makes you feel any better, we had dogs when I was a toddler, and my folks discovered they had worms because I GOT WORMS.
Hey sewing types, do any of you use patterns for pirates? Also, any serge machine suggestions? I think this spring I want to start making my own running skirt/dresses and it would be awesome to have a serger to make them.
