I also enjoy grocery shopping (especially at TJs with free coffee and snacks), but lugging everything home by train or bus is less fun.
Taking the train or bus means that at least you don't have to try to park at TJs. It takes an act of God to get a parking space there.
I like grocery shopping, but I use the deliver option if there are too many canned goods or jugs of liquid
My wife took care of getting groceries the day before yesterday and it was like the greatest thing ever. However, I will have to go tomorrow because we only have one gallon of milk and lack dinner supplies.
With two teenagers, we go through a gallon of milk a day.
Yes, I seriously considered dairy delivery when the boys were teens. Always out of milk! And fruit because they ate it like candy.
hell, he even proposed here
One of my favorite Buffista memories!
One reason I am reluctant to consider selling my house and moving: I can walk to multiple grocery stores, close enough that it's easy to carry unless I'm buying tons and tons of liquid. And close enough so that I rarely do a big huge shop that would be hard to carry!
Makes me glad I never got Mac started drinking milk.
If I move anywhere walkable to grocery, I will have to re-train myself to shop multiple times a week to avoid too many bags. In NYC, walking by multiple grocery stores on my normal commute made 1-2 bag shopping my norm.
Congrats, sumi!
And awww, Pix and ND! I remember the proposal. (I need a heart emjoi here, people!)
