"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What particularly parental things did your parents do to you this holiday season?

My mother told me ltc is cuter than I was at that age, but I agree with her.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

my father could not even feign any form of faked ok-ness with the socks E got him. I should have checked them first, but they were the wrong kind and 2 of the wrong color. Still, fake it! and talk to me later.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I made the bread. It was the right call. It was easy, the house smells delicious, and I get to have happy thoughts of ita to help me ring in the new year.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Adorable!

My brother thought it was hilarious.

Thrive to spite them

My dad decided I needed a present more than dvds and books on my amazon wish list so he asked me for ideas and I came up with one

Which I had to order because it had options. So I ordered it and was told not to open the box. When he got here he took it off ad wrapped it.

I didn't get any books or dvds on my wish list so i have ended up buying a few after Christmas.

My apartment complex has ruled that nothing can be hung or attached to the balcony railings, so my lights have to come down. Apparently decorations detract from the image of the community. Piffle. There were a lot more this year than last year, which I thought looked great. But there are still my windows.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

The Cincinnati Pops concert with Morgan James was amazing. So glad we went. But it is 12 degrees and I am not going back out, not even 1/2 mile to Tim's BFF's house. So it is 11 p.m. and we are eating pizza. I kind of want to go to bed, but I also feel honor-bound to stay up until midnight to see this damn year out the door.

Just how big are we talking for those windows, Connie?

My New Year's Eve was spent petting alley cats, cleaning house, getting laid, going out for a yummy sushi dinner, and seeing Justice League again. Not sure I'll be able to stay awake until midnight though.

Who could object to my single string of lights after that?

And the fireworks begin in the church parking lot across the street.

I think Matt buried the lede there.
