My plans are to make lentil soup, set up my bullet journal, make some progress in setting up a blog, watching a movie, and reading a book.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
My plans are to microwave some frozen black-eyed peas and collard greens, do some day drinking and putter around the house. Possibly go to sleep early and set an alarm for 11:30, I haven't decided. Also bullet journaling.
Have already spiked my coffee with kahlua and need to decide which local sparkling wine to open for bellinis...
Oh, yes and drink prosecco. I can't forget that.
It's 16 degrees in New York, and there are already people huddling in corrals in Times Square. And it's windy.
I gotta work this evening. My family tradition is to eat chips and dip, drink some bubbly, and watch Dick Clark. We have chips and dip we never opened for the Christmas party due to a wealth of other food. And we laid in stock of sparkling grape juice for tonight. Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's Eve is just not the same without actual Dick Clark. So I am totally good with watching whatever.
My upstairs neighbor got some Marx Brothers movies for Christmas, so I'll be bringing up a bottle of prosecco, watching until maybe 9, and then going to bed.
We're going to the Cincinnati Pops concert with Morgan James singing, but should be home by 10:30. Tim's BFF lives 1/2 mile away and always has a huge house party on New Year's Eve, so Tim will probably go over there after we get home, but I will probably crank up the heated mattress pad and go to bed, because I am just not feeling a huge party tonight.
Oh, I forgot a new place opened up down the street and was advertising a NYE party of some sort. I might check that out.
Timelies all!
We're staying close to home tonight. Mostly because of Mr. S, but also because it's below freezing here. A few friends are coming by. We'll go to dinner, then hang out for a while.
Made tonight's ham last night, so ham sandwiches for NYE dinner. Fine by me. Also planning on baking up the rest of the sugar cookie dough for maximum snackage. If I get really ambitious, I might make a loaf of hardo bread in ita's honor. I've been hankering for it all holiday season, and it would really make the sandwiches special. But it would also mean devoting the whole day to baking.
