I'm at Kelly's. Other than a bit of Santa helper work, I have no responsibilities today/tomorrow.
Go Suzi!
I have Done Christmas, and now I'm ready for bed. Which is good, because I'm leaving at 6:30am tomorrow.
Also, my aunt says my cat has worms, which I believe, and is a bummer!
We had lunch with my Dad, followed by presents with him, and then dinner and presents with my mom and stepdad. We went out for Indian, and it was exactly what I wanted. But Lord, I am tired. And I just put a cake in the oven for tomorrow, so I'll be up for a bit.
Dad gave us the Blu-Ray of Spiderman: Homecoming, so I think we'll watch the Captain America PSAs while we wait for the cake to bake.
My doctor called in steroids 3 days ago for this sinus infection, and they're starting to help, but they're also giving me HELLA insomnia and the munchies kicked in BIG TIME today. I ate a ton of cheese at my mom's.
And I cannot WAIT to give Tim his present tomorrow. I'll post a picture once he has it.
The staff member scheduled to work tonight has the stomach bug I had. Since there really is no one else to work for her, I'm going in.
Oh, dear, WindSparrow. Are you sure you're ok to do that? Good luck.
I'm at my sister's house, unable to sleep for the second night in a row. Don't know why. Frustrating.
Christmas has been very low key so far. Except for the piano.
I'm at my sister's, surrounded by dogs, with 6 inches of fresh snow outside and nowhere to go. It's delightful! Happy holidays, y'all.
Good morning and Merry Christmas to all!
The kids came over last night. I made dinner, which was well received by all. DH made peanut butter cookies and ginger snaps, and DIL made chocolate chip cookies. Kids gifts were apparently perfect.
My #1 son was opening his gifts and picks up the rectangle one and decides from heft that it is a book. Exclaims delight because he claims to have reread too many times his personal library. Starts to open and is excited again for the verification of Barnes & Noble. Then finally sees it is a Nook and goes berserk. I gave him one a few years ago, and of course he lost it, because he loses everything. He proceeded to copy a bunch of stuff off my computer and I have to investigate how to do the "lend" thing because he had been reading Updraft on my Nook a while ago and wants to finish. I haven't even told him about sequels. It is too much fun to watch how excited he gets. He really should be better about the library; when he lived with me he was a frequent visitor, but he hasn't kept it up on his own. Most likely because he won't remember to do the return part of the deal. I suspect he didn't sleep last night. Good thing he has off until Wednesday. Also got him a Hogwarts t-shirt which he declared a perfect thickness, which I thought too, but didn't think he would notice.
Since B&T are still collecting stuff for their apartment when not swiping stuff from us and her parents, I went with kitchen. Got them an air fryer, which they loved. She had bought him an espresso machine. Got all the kids socks, for tradition. Jammies for B&T.
They got other clothes too, because I am mom. We watched Christmas movies and enjoyed each other's company. I am content Momma Claus.
I did ok. Home safe and sound. Wishing warmth and love to surround you all, like unto the nap I am about to take with two cats.
