I'm way too generous reading resumes. I need to lock down my hard criteria.
(Also, fastest swim in 6 weeks. Wee bit stressed.)

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I AM NOT DRINKING AND READING RESUMES.
(But I am drinking and checking retirement stuff.)
I do have a tire pressure gauge in my pocket, though. So I have that going for me.
It's good to be prepared.
The photos of that derailment are terrifying. The stories I've read so far mention a controversy over switching to that route, including safety concerns, but I haven't seen anything saying what the specific concerns were.
I have been far too amused with the performance reports for ACC this year. One child has decided the show is all about him and keeps doing new things in his scenes. He has been talked to, his father has been talked to, a 2nd YP supervisor was added... nothing seems to help. This weekend the SM added a category to the performance report with this child's name.
In other ACC news, our Tiny Tim (different child) is adorable. [link] [link]
got giftcards for stylist and manicurist. Got a thing for mac, but still need more. Still nothing for either parent and I only have half for the brother and brother-in-law.
I got the dogs treats and foster dog, Maxine, a sweater since she's little and it's getting cold. I also called the shelter and said we would keep her through the holidays and bring her up there if anyone called to inquire about her. I hope we find her a good home.

When are you retiring? Me? June 2035.
2040, supposedly. At this rate of politics, doubt it.

Not soon enough (truly I think it may end up depending on the availability of healthcare when I get near that age??). Lotto win is still hoped for.
Retirement isn't likely any time soon since it is my business, but I am 64 this year and may take my SS next year and just pay my husband only going forward.
So many things going on right now. Maybe (probably) doing a new project with an old customers. Maybe (probably) getting a refinance on the house to finish some projects and sell it. I have done zero about Christmas. Didn't even bother to get my decorations out of storage. I want to go somewhere but the kids only have a couple days.
At least I am happy to report that DH and I are still sticking to the dieting and walking. We did make an eating out exception after the 5K on Saturday since my MIL was here, so we ate breakfast out. But other than that it is all home cooking real food.
I'll probably keep working as long as my eyesight holds out. Hopefully there will still be Social Security and Medicare when I get there. And an Education Publishing industry up til then.
Operation Trojan Flowery 19th Century Bird-Watching Diary is a go, with a foam compartment cut inside to hold the actual gift. Now I just need to glue the fake front diary pages to the spine and wrap it up.
