Glad those cats have you looking out for them, Matt.
It looks like I'm not getting out of the office anytime soon tonight. No swim. I kinda knew this would happen, though, so I was mentally girded.
I'm usually in a foulish mood most of December. Mostly the weather and timecrunch and stuff. I'm not a holiday person.
I'm sure the annual work timecrunch doesn't help my mood, either. I don't know why we always have a big release in late January.
Good work, Matt. And not just because kitty looks like our Coco.
Having spent 8 Christmases living alone and far away from family when I lived in Arizona, I learned that I enjoyed the peace of just me and the cats plus a few phone calls to loved ones.
My current irony - when I suggest this, it's a warning sign of depression or something. But the same people who object to my chilling out at home also have yet to issue alternate invites.

Yeah, the number of things scheduled "by the end of the year" is irksome, especially when my boss is out all next week, so I have to cover plus do my own stuff and everyone else has waited to the last minute to submit, of course.
And all the HR paperwork to re-up for things comes in a clump at the end of the year, and you often have to get hold of your doctor, who has already made plans to skip the state with his family for the holidays.
Timelies all!
The art project at Mr. S's nursery school yesterday was a "menorah" made from two rulers painted and glued together, with painted clothespins for candle holders. Alas, there is glitter on the clothespins. He has taken it apart, so there is glitter all over the place. sigh...
YAY GLITTER!!
My cable box has apparently died, which is super annoying! Especially because I don't think I can really call them, as I am on my mother's account, so I guess she has to do it? And/or go to the cable store and get a new one. Because lord knows I don't have time to kill with the fucking cable company.
Ugh, super-annoying, Jesse! Good luck!
I'm home, but the multimillion dollar, super fancy, 100% uptime storage hardware up & crashed, so it's gonna be a 12+ hour day.
We got the outdoor decorations up last week; they're camouflage to keep the neighbors from asking if we're okay. The tree has been in its box on the dining room floor for days, and I can't be arsed to get the indoor decorations out of the now-accessible hall closet. It's a lot of effort that's just going to have to all be undone in a couple of weeks. I haven't been able to convince myself it's worth it.
