There are some regular ordinary forces that can make things move "by themselves" - even a water faucet turning itself on can be because of high water pressure in the pipes.
Yeah, I've seen water glasses slide by themselves across tables and started to freak out before realizing condensation had gathered around them on the not-quite-level table surface and allowed gravity to move them. Gravity's not going to flip a switch UP into the on position, though.
