Black-wigged Betty was so badass. This is not your father's Archie Comics.

I got to give a great example of gaslighting in class today. One of my seniors sprained his ankle and is on crutches. I asked him what happened and he told. Then some smart ass kid behind him says, "Oh, well I heard it was your knee blah blah blah."
And I walked over to the first kid and said, "Don't you love when people profess to know more about what is going on in your body than you do, since you live in it?"
He said yeah, it's so annoying.
"Welcome to what it feels like to be a woman."
I did not escape D's epic cough/sore throat ick after all. Ugggghhh.
My voice is so froggy this morning it's going a-courtin'.
And I felt so blah that I didn't go out driving this morning.
I feel like two hours is enough time at work, right??
Also I woke up too early, so now I want lunch already. I guess a snack will do.
We were all so cranky this morning, snapping at each other trying to get out of the house, that I'm still in a funk hours later. Blah.
I need to ask for some calming and sanity~ma for my family. I hate to be vague, but we have some hard decisions that have challenging repercussions no matter what happens. Everyone is physically ok, just...crap that has us all broken right now.
~ma, Suzi.
We are all in the state of up-in-the-air-ness that is messing with my calm. DH has basketball coaching drama, kids are awaiting house offer response, I have a house refinance attempt in progress, Step-dad health stuff, various work stuff up in the air. As they say in Airplane!, I picked the wrong week to quit smoking/drugs/chocolate.
~ma for your family, Suzi.
I got into San Francisco last night. I had to get up around 5am to make it into the office for meetings, so I've had less than 5 hours of sleep. I'm not sure I know what day it is or what time zone I'm in.
