"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

TCG loved the beer they aged on site. And I had the most amazing cocktail there.

My wife was out of the house this afternoon so I did a whole bunch of cleaning without having to worry about being criticized. It was actually kinda nice though I'm now pretty much tired out. I much prefer cleaning on my own because when we clean together we can get half as much done in the same amount of time. Now off to put in the third load of laundry and make dinner.

Way to be productive, Gud! I'm much better at doing any chores when no one else is home. CJ works such long hours these days that I'm getting practice at this empty nest thing...I think I'll be ok.

I spent the afternoon with Kelly, her Cory, and H. We were at a friend, P's house where their wedding reception will be. I went to take more pictures, measure things and plot out decorations. They went to help her with a few of her home projects. Very nice lady. But all three of my gang were in fowl moods by the car ride back. H was sullen from the time they picked me up. Halfway through the afternoon Cory was grumping about stuff and not helping Kelly or P. Then Kelly had enough of the two of them and ended up acting as bratty as the other two.

Right now I'm very happy to be home alone.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Home now. Mr. S had been cranky all day. He's in bed now, and quiet. Hopefully he's asleep.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There was corporate espionage and derring do in my dream last night. At least my subconscious leads a more exciting life than I do.

Hah, in my dreams last night I was supposed to be auditioning for some sort of broadway thing or something? There were hundreds of us but we'd all flown to some distant place for this and then I couldn't remember what I had said I'd sing! And then the dream had a few branches, including one where I got through thensinging part but realized the next part was supposed to be playing an instrument and I had neither instrument nor music, and haven't played in years. (That also made my subconscious go "I'm 40! Why am I auditioning with a bunch of fresh young things??") it was Very stressful!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, I'm so mad about my lunch! The place I usually go for salad or sandwich had an avocado toast special, which sounded delicious, and is delicious, except it's half as much food as a sandwich (one slice of bread), for the same price! And the poached egg was undercooked, which I don't appreciate. This is the only really disappointing thing I've ever had there.

This is why you should just get a burrito.
