It doesn't hurt (some of my friends said their daith piercing was really sore for days afterward), but that means I keep forgetting it's there and I go to itch my ear and bump the ring and THEN it hurts. I am a ding dong.

But fingers crossed it keeps the migraines at bay. Or at least lessens their frequency/intensity. One friend hasn't had a single migraine since her piercing, and others have had the frequency of their migraines drop drastically.

Even if it's a placebo effect, if it works, I'm on board.

So, the bus that goes from work to the transit center was late today and I was starving, so I used Yelp to find a nearby Chinese restaurant with in-app ordering and bought way too much food that I was able to carry home on the bus without spillage. Finally nomming and feeling pretty good about my choices for the day.

It's a real concern, but it's very similar to what I grew up with. You always have respect for it and make sure that you are prepared. I suspect we will also get cougars in this area, as well at rattlesnakes.
