Also, a 2-month remodeling at the other end of hte building! Blocking off part of hte parking lot where I normally park! Boo! I'll have to park where I have to climb stairs, boo!

Whine whine whine, pout.

I actually have no idea what a sous vide immersion cooker is.

Our wings are not tired.

I looked into this sous vide immersion cooking notion and am intrigued. [link] Then again, I never met a kitchen device that didn't intrigue me.

So good for cooking fish, Laura! Also amazing for custards. Anything finicky that you have to worry about scalding or boiling over or over cooking, sous vide is like magic.

I might have two. Because I am ridiculous

ION, getting out of bed is too hard today. It's cold and lonely in the deep dark night.

Yes, it looks like most of the sous vide recipes are for meat, but the ravings over the fish results seem encouraging. Fish and seafood are so easily overcooked.

My dad could not get over how perfectly cooked the salmon I did sous vide came out. Also supposed to be good for grains, but I haven't played with that much. Should be good for making yogurt, but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I've tried oil-poached asparagus and the like, and it's good but not game changer good compared to roasting.

Also does not heat up the kitchen as much as the oven or stovetop, especially if you use a cooler for the bath. Valuable in the summertime.

I am already over this day. Left the house too late to catch the bus, but put togetehr a cute outfit. Since I was driving, stopped for coffee, which I promptly spilled all over my cute outfit. I think I mopped it all up, but the wet fabric is dark very much like it was with coffee all over it so I'm not sure. Sigh.

And now I'm supposed to do work. I'm telling you, five days in a row is too much.

And I managed to spill my coffee AGAIN walking back from the kitchen. Just on my hand, so less of a mess but ow. Why are you doing this to me, coffee, I have only treated you with love!
