Ugh, I have no motivation for work today. I know part of it is we hit a deadline last week (finally, instead of it getting pushed out a week at a time), and now we're into the rush for the next deadline, which is in 5 weeks. Yes, right before Christmas.
I also know part of it is that I've pretty much been in continuous deadline mode since I started the job over three years ago (we're a small product team in a larger company), and I'm a bit burned out.
My job and company are awesome. I work from home, which is even more awesome. I just want a break from deadline mode.
Congratulations on the house, Pix and Drew! That's excellent news.
Congratulations, Pix and ND!
That sounds like a reasonable complaint, Jilli.
We had out department Thanksgiving luncheon today so I'm struggling to stay out of a food coma. One more hour, than a meeting, then I think I can go home and take a nap.
Yay nap!
Oh wise hivemind, I need some advice to share with my son. I just got the following text from him...
There's a class action lawsuit against [employer] because of its overtime policy. I qualify for it. Do I jump on board, or is that a dangerous move that could compromise my job
My BFF allows that Colbert might be a more obsessively informed fan than she is, but not a bigger one!
I would love a break from the constant deadlines too.
I'd also like a break from the constant meyowling, CATS. Wtf do you even want
Not a lawyer, but it may be that individual employees wouldn't even be disclosed in a class action filing. He should ask the law firm handling it about the potential for repercussion.
Timelies all!
Congrats on the house, Pix and ND!
